Special features regarding the equipment

All lecture theatres are equipped with the latest multimedia technology. The laboratories, with their state-of-the-art technical equipment, provide the foundation for up-to-date, practically-oriented engineering training. Modern technology that meets industry standards makes it possible to reinforce the knowledge acquired in lectures in all phases of the degree course. In addition, the laboratories serve as the basis for many of the university's research and development projects and thus offer students many possibilities for Bachelor's and Master's theses.

Special features regarding research activities

Research focuses: Intelligent Systems (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Clean Tech, Electronics and Electric Drives, Intelligent Mobility, Intelligent Sensors and Signals, Robotics and Automation), Materials (Material Testing and Sensor Technology, Innovative Material Processing, Clean Tech), Knowledge Management and Structural Change (Business Transformation and Innovation Management, Economic and Social Transformation). With the Centre for Scientific Services and Transfer (ZeWiS) and the Competence Centre AI, we strengthen the effectiveness for students/companies/the public.

Support for founders

Business start-ups are supported by the Career Service at Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences. This offers numerous services for business founders in the form of advice by start-up advisers as well as contacts with initiatives and start-up competitions. The VentureLab also offers free start-up advice. As the start-up hub of Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences and the central point of contact for all start-up projects in the Aschaffenburg region, the aim is to promote innovative ideas.

Other special features

In addition to the wide range of language options, students also have the opportunity to prepare for the globalised and internationalised job market with stays abroad. Collaboration between European and non-European universities offers the possibility of studying abroad to gather experience whilst at university. The "Hochschule-Dual" model is a degree course with an intensive practical component. The International Technical Sales Management degree course is also closely linked to the European Sales Engineering Courses.
