Many renowned practitioners in teaching, good student-teacher ratio, professor and lawyer colloquium, study group programme up to the 4th semester, corrected mock exams, intensive exam preparation (revision and exam preparation course with lecture notes and sample solutions, mock oral exam with presentation), e-learning, supplementary course in legal questions of artificial intelligence, internationality (German-French study course, supplementary course in Anglo-American Law, Legal and Economic Studies), extensive programme for teaching subject-specific foreign language skills, court competitions.

Special features regarding the international orientation

“Legal and Economic Studies” programme taught in English, course “National Perspectives on EU Law” with virtual hybrid lectures with University of Hull, German-French basic and postgraduate course with double degree, numerous exchange programmes and research projects with international faculties, particularly close exchange with Radzyner School of Law Herzliya, Israel, supplementary course in Anglo-American Law taught in English, comparative courses, opportunity to complete doctorate under joint supervision by an international faculty.

Support for founders

Düsseldorf is a key location for companies and lawyers, including major law firms. The many lawyers among the teaching staff, practice-oriented courses and the lawyer-oriented work placement programme provide students with insights into the legal profession, which around 50% of Law graduates pursue after completing their education. The Düsseldorf Centre for Entrepreneurship combines at the Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf issues of professional independence and company start-ups.
