Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Finnish and as part of the new regional and cultural elective "Destination North" since the 2021 summer semester. Students may take part in courses offered by the Bavarian Virtual University (VHB).

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Wide range of sports, including current trends (e.g. callisthenics and crosstraining); Health-related courses (e.g. yoga); Organisation of own tournaments and events (e.g beach volleyball and football); Student participation in regional and national championships (e.g. Ultimate university championship), sports activities also available outside the official programme directly on the campus (e.g. beach volleyball). Sports: The mix of classic sports, health-oriented courses and current trend sports offers an ideal balance to the requirements of study and work. Courses offered: Badminton, basketball, football, volleyball, flamenco (pandemic-related restrictions).
